Alert!Cayman

Terms of Use

Last updated: [date of publication]

Draft for review by a lawyer before launch. Items in [square brackets] need filling in.

These terms apply when you use Alert! Cayman ("Alert!"), published by GRAB IT US LLC ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

Alert! is not an emergency service

In an emergency, call 911. Alert! does not contact the police, fire service or ambulance, and nobody watches reports in real time. Never rely on Alert! to get help.

Stay safe

Never use Alert! while driving. Pull over first, or hand the phone to a passenger. Obey the law and directions from police and emergency services, whatever the app shows.

Reports come from the community

Incidents, photos and comments are posted by other users. They can be wrong, late or incomplete. We try to keep them accurate with confirmations, trust scores and moderation, but we don't check every report and make no promise that any information is correct or complete.

What you may post

Post only things you have seen yourself, on Grand Cayman, that are happening now. Don't post:

You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to show, store, blur, crop and moderate it in Alert! until it is deleted.

Accounts and moderation

One account per person and phone number. We may hide or remove any post, limit how quickly an account's reports go out, or suspend or ban an account (including its phone number) if we believe these terms have been broken. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Liability

Alert! is provided "as is", free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it or relying on anything in it, including posts by other users. [Limitation wording to be confirmed by a lawyer.]

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will update the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of [the Cayman Islands, to confirm]. Contact: alert@grabit.ky.
